Sissy, seems like I'm the only one who agrees with you. I would much rather see a Garth concert than a George concert. Now, don't get me wrong, people....I do like George. I just love Garth so much more. I think it's the rock vibe in him. Country with a touch of KISS. And SEXY.......ooo...whatchu talkin' 'bout! I could just eat him up! Whooo...see now I've gone and made myself a little flushed! :b

George Strait is by far better then Garth Brooks...George is a better singer, has been around longer, and his music will be around for ever. He doesn't need to run around the stage like a chicken with his head cut off to sell out a stadium. Garth is good at performing (running around, stage lighting...) but he is NOT better at singing. I love that George can come out with just his guitar and sound amazing without all the glitz and glamour.

Hands down George Strait is far better than Garth, George has kept it traditional all these years where as Garth has strayed off once or twice with stuff like Chris Gaines, George Strait has more #1's than any other country entertainer. George has never used retirement as a gimmick to attract people to his concerts... He's a working rancher when he is not on the road, he is at home working his families ranch. Garth is busy or was busy screwing around on his wife of many years with Trish Yearwood. George stays out of the news as much as possible and prefers to keep his personal life to himself. Garth should not even be compared to George Strait. George is his mentor. Even though Garth may have more money... Garth could only wish to live a life like George Strait.

I'm surprised it's so one sided, but I'm on the right side. I love George Strait. He's down to earth. I like his older music better, but I still like his new ones.

When I stopped liking Garth was when he kept retiring and bragging that he had more money than his kids grandkids could ever use. It's like everything is a game to him. As many times as he reitires, he can't seem to stay out of the limelight.

George is by far better. Garth may be more entertaining live but he is also so egotistical, he won't even sell his songs as singles. Which is a rip off unless he releases a whole new album. So George will always be king.

George Strait - hands down. No competition! Strait is true, blue and consistent music w/ out the stunts - but still not boring. And to top of his many accolades w/ "I Saw God Today" he has more number one singles then any one (more then anyone in ANY genre)

Brooks on the other hand (and this personal opinion) Upped the ante in the 90's, but w/ cheating on his wife, his flip flopping on whether retiring ...and then once retired he just pops up again. Not my cup of tea. (Granted I am probably the minority - I was ecstatic when he finally "retired" the last time)

I like them both but I think I like George Strait better. Alot of people seem to. He gets #1s all the time with his singles, has the most of them, can fill out stadiums and rodeos, and still has another 10 years at least on him. He is the person with the most #1s in all genres.

Garth is a better entertainer as far as concerts go, but George is better for being PURE country.

king george..55 number one hits..amazing..now im not saying that i dont like garth brooks..that summer, beaches of cheyenne, the dance, friends in low places, much too young, standing outside the fire, the river, unanswered prayers, beer run, two pina coladas, new way to fly..makes him a real close second..both are legends and its real nice that brooks came out of retirement..i knew he would too..when youre as good as he is its hard to stay retired
