Hi Rebecca,

What does town of bass mean? I'm guessing you meant ton of bass.

I don't know of every song that he recorded, so I am not the best person to answer this. I have only one Johnny Cash cd , its "Johnny Cash at Folson Prison" so I can only list tracks from here.

My best guess is:

"The Legend Of John Henry's Hammer " or "Greystone Chapel" these songs are the only ones I know of that best fit your description. These songs do get faster as the they go on.

Other tracks that are sort of fast. The tempo doesn't really change though like the songs above. But I thought I would list them anyway, just in case.

Orange Blossom Special

Cocaine Blues

Jackson

Apart from the songs contributed by your other answerers, I can only come up with "Don't Take Your Guns To Town" on which the tempo changes several times. The most likely song must be "The Rock Island Line".
