Question:
Favorite country song and why?

Currently mine is In Color - Jamey Johnson.

I like it because it seems like something that's happening now. The Great Depression is in a small way similar to our economy now. The unemployment rate is terrible. I feel like if this gets any worse I will be explaining this to my grandkids like this song is.

Love Me- Collin Raye

It Reminds Me Of My Aunt@ Uncle

That Died Last Year I Have Never

In My Life Seen No 2 More In

Love They Was Always Toughter

Hardly Ever Apart They Loved Eachother

2 The End When She Died Her Husband

Was There In A Wheel Chair.. He Cried So

Hard It Was So Heart Breacking Cause

He Wanted To Be With Her He Died A Month

Later But He Cried And Cried To Be With

Her He Truely Love Her A Rare And Wonderful

Love Like I Would Truely Like 2 Have..

Now Sissy's Alan Jackson

Dont Worry About Me Us

We Are Toughter Now...

When it comes to my favorite song I'm really indecisive - because I love every country song I hear!

but my favorites are these:

Little red rodeo - by Collin Raye

I've liked that one since I was little, it's catchy, and I've always wanted to do something spontaneous like leaving someone.

Baby Girl - By Sugarland

I like that one because I like to dream of singing it one day. Sugarland has a great sound, and I really like the style of that song.

Chicken Fry - By Zac Brown Band

This song is one of my favorites because its classic country, Hello - fried chicken, cold beer on a Friday night, jeans, and the radio on! Not only do I like the lyrics on that one but the music too.

Cowgirls don't cry - By Brooks and Dunn

Really inspiring, I just love everything about it.

Shutting Detroit Down - By John Rich

Cause I live in Michigan, and it is soooo true!

Songs about me -By Trace Akins

Really like this song! Whenever someone disses country music This song goes through my head.

Yeah In Color is pretty good too!

I love the song Stealing Cinderalla by Chuck Wicks. My grandaughter had an outdoor wedding last summer and they played that song when she danced with her father. It fit in the theme with an outdoor wedding and the closenesss of father and daughter, and the wonderful young man she married. I love our family and it this song brings back memories of my relationship with my children and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Another song I like that probably not many people will remember on this site is Thank God for Kids, by the Oak Ridge Boys. Can you tell I love being a mom, grandma, and greatgrandma. I am so blessed.

My favorite song is "Dark as a Dungeon" by Merle Travis.

WHY: It's a lyrically visual masterpiece, and it depicts the seemingly endless cycle of sons dropping out of school to follow their fathers into the mines. I lived in coal mining country when I was a teenager, and I never understood why the other kids in school took no interest in studying and getting an education so they could better themselves -- until Mr. Travis explained it to me.
