If you'e only been playing for 6 months, I would recommend an inexpensive guitar... Middle of the Road... Maybe a Low end Gibson... or takameni... something that sounds good but you don't have to shovel out loads of bucks for.
Taylors, High end Gibsons, Martins, and such.... you're gonna spend lots-o-money. Now is not the time to do that. As you get better, get a more expensive axe.... It's true, you get what you pay for but you don't need to "buy big" !!!!
Go to a reputable music store and ask questions... LOTS of questions !!!!!... thern make up your mind what you want to play and how much money you want to spend.
Good Luck and HAVE FUN !!!!!!

1. Taylor - excellent tone and choice hardwoods
2. Gibson - an American classic, a piece of history.
3. Breedlove - The Rolls Royce of acoustics. Yes, it is true, they make one that sells for $10,000.00
4. Martin - another American classic. Great for country or folk.
5. Ovation - great feel, great looks.
6. Tacoma - they look great
7. Alvarez
8. Takamine
9. Carvin
10. Epiphone (higher end models)

My first choice would be a Martin, but be ready to cough up a few thousand dollars. In my opinion Martins are the best in the world. I`ll Give you the 2008 price list.
