Maybe, but I have no problem with that. Connections can get you through a lot of doors, but once you are through them, what you do on the other side is up to you!



Besides, Crystal Gayle was not born until after Loretta Lynn was out of the house and married.

I think her music was more in the pop arena than country. I can't imagine Crystal Gayle singing "Coal Miner's Daughter."



Did she ride Loretta's coattails? I don't think so. Her music was vastly different than Loretta's. Anyway, there aren't a lot of people (LaCosta, Stella Parton) that being a relative helped.
