Question:
Brad Paisley & Hank JR?

Ok here's my Question.I'm recently widowed. I'm going to live my life out single and wait for a reunion with my love. I've heard the story in the bible about the sadduces asking Jesus about marriage in Heaven. I know there is neither marriage nor anyone given in marriage up in heaven. Marriage is an earthly thing.I got that, I wonder how many people agree with me about hanging out and remaining single til we see our spouses again. Love can only be better the second time around? Right? I don't need my husband to marry me again in heaven. We did that here. I love Brad Paisley's new song waiting on a woman. You know there's a line in the song where he say's he will find a bench and wait for his wife to meet him there. He is so romantic and feels the same way I do about the subject. Hank Jr's song The conversation mentions his Dad having one arm around his mama Mrs. Audrey up in heaven.Just so sweet and comforting to hear songs about good ol boys believing in our love continuing when we meet again. Are there many of you who believe the same?

My heart goes out to you and I do understand what you are saying. Because I feel the same way. I am still married and know that no one could take his place in this life. You are not wrong to remarry and you know that from what you have written. But you don't have to remarry. Sometimes love is so deep and satisfying that you can't imagine life with another when you have been so complete with the love of your life. I also only believe that women and men who have loved that deeply can understand why you feel that way. I hate the way my husband eats in bed and leaves crumbs, but as another women those crumbs would be welcome, because that is what made him what he is and was to you. Un replaceable. I married for life and if he goes before me, I know with all my heart their will never be anyone else. You know what, that is ok. It does not mean you have not gone on with your life it just means your finished with another part of your life, looking for a mate. I told my husband lol that if he goes before me as soon as I cross the border I am gonna call out Robert! He hates when I call him that lol. When you have been whole in life, only a miracle of God could change I would say our minds. But like you I would rather meet on that bench. We always say that one day in heaven we are gonna ride the whales. My heart goes out to you. I am proud of your stand on this.

Only you can answer that, if you're comfortable single, stay that way, If you want to remarry, no reason not to.

I've known some people with really good second marriages after losing a spouse, and some nightmare stories as well. (more of those than good ones, many never truly get over their first love.)

The thing to keep in mind is not to "play the field" just for the fun of messin' around. And it's true we will be reunited with those we loved on earth, but there is no marriage in heaven. You'll know each other, but not in the husband/wife sense.

I hope this helps.

(Hank Sr. had been divorced from Miss Audry and had remarried long before he died, as well as having fathered a child with another woman. Hank Jr. is playing it up because sentiment sells, he has always told that his mother was a very cold hearted woman, those close to the couple have said it was a very stormy and unstable marriage all along.)

If I ever lost my spouse I don't think I could be single. Maybe for awhile. He would want me to be happy and go on with my life and not be depressed. But If you want to single more power to you. Don't forget you need to be loved also. I'm not saying to fall in love the with first guy you meet. It wouldn't hurt to go out on a couple of dates.

I've never been married but dad died a few years ago and that's how mom feels about him. She has her family, friends, and hobbies and she is happy and content with her life.
