Since corporations have turned Nashville into Music Ruination Row, the talented country artists are never heard, just fashion models posing as entertainers.
Steve Earle, Charlie Robison, Lucinda Williams and many others put out creative, issue-driven country as well as traditional topics of lost love, etc.
But corporate country stinks to the top of the Smokey Mountains.
Edit: Travis Tritt is pop country. Don't include his name alongside the others. It was hilarious watching him try to play bluegrass. He's just another nasal entertainer who plunders classic rock songs like the rest of the losers on Ruination Row.
These days, the producers and writers appeal to the lowest common denominator, just reinforcing rightwing views, everyone has to sing about how they went to a tiny church or grandpa was so wise, blah blah blah. I'll give Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam credit for staying country, but the rest use a rock beat and horrid backup musicians with heavy handed producers to produce endless songs that all sound the same.
