You'd probably have been better off asking this in "Rock & Pop", as there are quite a few Folk-Rock fans in there, and 'Folk' is very different to 'Country'...
Anyway... British pov on this :~
I have a lot of traditional Scottish Folk and Irish Folk music, with a tiny amount of English Folk. But this is pretty much balanced out by my Folk-Rock collections {British and Irish bands / artists}. Although I have a greater range of acts in the Folk-Rock section, I have an equal amount of Scottish / Irish Folk, as those bands have a larger output.
I love both, and overall I think I listen to both about the same amount, in amongst all the other genres I have!
