There are two kinds of fans in country music. ''Today's country music fans'' and ''Traditional country music fans'' these two kinds of country are very different. Im in to traditional country. It has real emotion that you not only hear, but you can feel. All of life's situations, good and bad, they really sing about it all. Im into staying true to family values, standing up for what you believe in, no matter what. I've had my struggles in life and I've had my good times and fun. There is a song about any of life's situations you can think of in country music. I can find a song to relate to any and everything I've been through.I've always used music for therapy. Im into the heartfelt lyrics first, and then the music.

....The old saying was "3 cords and a story", and for the most part this could be true. But there is more than this. There is the heart and soul that the singer puts into the song. How the voice blends with the musical instruments. And more important how the singer can relate to the audience. From Jimmy Rogers to Josh Turner country music has always told a story . Some reach one group of fans other songs reach others. Country music is Americas melting pot of entertainment. And every singer adds to this great form of American music. From the story of the song and it's writter,to the instruments and music and the vocals of the artist, all parts make Americas music, country music.

Allow me to clear the air of what real country music is.

I won a talent contest in Louisiana when I was 11 because I watched the king of rock and roll Elvis Presley perform on the Ed Sullivan show in 1968

I was 7 at that time. Santa Clause left me a blue Tella Star guitar and a Melbay chord book under the Christmas tree when I was 11 and three 45 records of Jonny Cash, George Jones and Merle Haggard. 2 days later I had 3 chords learned already knew the words of the 3 records cause that's all my grand parents that raised me ever listened to and could play all 3 in a week ! Folsom prison blues, Mama tried and walk through this world with me. 2 weeks later I'm standing on the stage singing Folsom prison blues at the Louisiana Hayride winning my 1st Talent contest on music that was written from the heart of real time events in real peoples lives. I today still love this music and sing it from my heart with the Touching Hearts Band in Beaumont Texas I've never deviated from the music that searches the soul that I learned from as a child to sing with just 3 simple chords. Its not complicated at all its just simple songs written about simple people and there life's journey. Money, fame and financial gain has complicated this music to what we hear on the radio today. Hoss Logan from KREB radio in West Monroe La. once told me back then there were 3 rules in country music Keep it simple, sing from your heart and do not mix business with pleasure. Fame, Fortune and Glamour never appealed to me though Touching Hearts does and that my friends is country music. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!! Frank Davis (frankied1961@yahoo.com )

Nope it's just rednecks expressing their feelings. For which no one cares. Besides rednecks of course.
