Very hard question, Garth Brooks, Chris LeDoux, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. They are actually country musicians and can sing about things in such a great way that it tells a tale, Country Music is a storytellin genre. Folks who grew up in the country as I, can relate to what they sing about. They sing about life and all the troubles and joys it can bring. What is like to experience the things in life, and how they dealt with them. They also sing about the most important things in life, God, family, and friends.

Dawn B basically stole my answer about Reba McEntire- lol. She does put her heart and soul into a song. Add to that she seems to be a very genuine person that a lot of Nashville and the world adores because of that fact. She's hilarious - look at the pranks her and Brooks and Dunn played on each other, not to mention that I loved her show Reba. She is a person I would love to get the chance if I ever could to meet and tell her how much I enjoy her music as well as her show. (Plus I love her accent - I love to hear her talk. My family on my mom's side hails from Oklahoma, and when I was a teen and she came onto the music scene and I started listening to her I wished I had her accent - my cousins back home in Oklahoma have that Oklahoma twang too. I grew up in Illinois, so no accent)



Anyway - she is my favorite country singer because of all that, and when I just adopted a 3 yr old Redbone Coonhound 2 weeks ago - I thought that Reba would be an appropriate name for this sweet pup with a melodious low howl (it isn't screechy like my Bluetick Coonhound Dale - 4 yrs old- yes, I also like Nascar as you may tell by his name) and her coat is a rich dark red.

Reba McEntire because her interpretation of a song is unmatched. She shows emotions and has so much soul when she sings. She has been an inspiration to me for as long as I can remember. The first album I ever owned was "Whoever's In New England" and there was a song on there, well several, that touched me so much. One was "If You Only Knew." This song wasn't that sad, but the way she sung it made me cry almost every time. I just love her and I don't think there will ever be another female country artist that will compare to her.
