Buck Owens:

"Second Fiddle"

"Excuse Me, I Think I've Got a Heartache"

"Your For Me"

"Down On The Corner Of Love"

"Made In Japan"

"I've Got a Tiger By The Tail"

"Buckaroo"

"Open Up Your Heart"

"Act Naturally"

"Where Does The Good Times Go"

"Waiting In Your Welfare Line"

"Sam's Place"

"It Takes People Like You To Make People Like Me"

"Think of Me"

"Monster's Holiday"

"Hello Trouble" (LP Cut)

The list could go on and on.

Roy Clark:

"Tips of My Fingers"

"I Never Picked Cotton"

Buck Owens was a West Coast Bakersfield Sound singer and Roy was more of the Nashville Sound with background vocal singers. Buck just used Don Rich and his band.

You don't like Buck Owens with the Bakersfield sound. In the early 60's it was revolutionary.

One's a pickin' & one's a grinnin'.

Tough call Roy Clark's song Yesterday when I was young is one of my favorites. But I also like Buck Owens with Act Naturally, Tiger by the tail. Maybe I'll pick Buck Owens by a SMALL margin. Both are extremely talented musicians!!!

Buck Owens Buckaroo is one of my favorite instrumentals, but of course it was Don Rich playing lead guitar. Emmylou Harris and the Hot Band did a fine cover of it as well. Don Rich carried Buck with his great playing and harmonies.

I have to give Roy Clark his props for being a great musician. For vocals I liked his cover of Tip of My Fingers.

Buck Owens certainly attained more celebrity status and he was a good songwriter. ' Crying Time " and ' Love's Gonna Live Here" are two of my favorites.

Roy Clark had hits with " Thank God and Greyhound , She's Gone" and I like his version of Rocky top. And another beautiful song. Not sure of the title but it was on one of my favorite albums of his - She lives on the Morning side of the mountain and he lives on The twilight side of the Hill..(?) I would pick Roy Clark.

Buck Owens, without question.

Buck wrote his own songs. He was also a very underrated guitarist (listen to "Buck's Polka"). And there was nothing like Buck and Don Rich together.

Favorite songs: "Big in Vegas," "Second Fiddle," "My Heart Skips a Beat."

Of Roy's: "Thank God and Greyhound," "The Lawrence Welk-Hee Haw Counter-Revolution Polka."

Roy Clark every time for me I think he is one of the most talented

people in Country Music. I love his version of Help Me.

I was never very fond of Buck Owens' recordings, perhaps it is me

but I never thought he sounded very sincere

Glenn was too drunk from losing Tanya Tucker to Mac Davis, or was it the other way around???
